Other coronaviruses tend to display secondary immunity in humans (ie we won’t get infected twice). We don’t yet know the mutation rate of this strain and whether that changes our ability to get infected twice.
Some reports in China show lab results possibly compatible with “re-infection”, but I’m unclear whether they represent true re-infection or late viral particle shedding.
Children may have different immunologic responses to the virus, so we are even less certain about them.
Bottom line: unlikely that re-infection is a significant source of viral transmission. Wish we had a better answer
